Simple oven Roasted Cabbage
Hey Whiskers!!
Well long time no speak as I usually say in these last posts, been a crazy year, but then again whose 2020 hasn't been? I've finally been in a good kitchen with the mental space to cook and try new recipes so hopefully I'll get some posts up. This cabbage recipe is Uh-Ma-Zing. Honestly I want to make it again now and I just made it on Friday. I had other plans for this cabbage but i ended up deciding to roast it simply and its better than chips fresh out of the oven, crispy sweet garlicky goodness. Enjoy this simple and delicious vegetable dish.
Till next time, keep whisking up love and happiness to those around,
Samantha
Ingredients:
- 1/2 green cabbage
- 3 tblsp olive oil
- 1/8 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic
How To:
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius
- Rinse cabbage, then slice from top to bottom keeping the core connected.
- Toss in bowl with all ingredients, mix well (best to use a gloved hand)
- Spread out on a metal sheet pan
- Roast till desired crispness about 30-40 minutes. (I waited till some tips were charred and the rest was pretty carmelized and brown with just a bit of a push back from a fork)
- Eat straight from the pan, toss with rice, serve with chicken or any protein. We ate half right off the pan straight from the oven its delicious
